What I Was Thinking During 'Tron'

Could they make 3-D contact lenses for the movies? Or just put a big sheet of 3-D in front of the screen?less than a minute ago via TweetDeck

RIGHT? I mean some of us wear glasses at the movies, and wearing glasses on top of glasses is not a cute look. For starters. Also it's hard to turn to your neighbor and roll your eyes in those things. Because also I was thinking: "when they looked at the final script, did they think that those 20 sloggy minutes in the late middle weren't going to be exceedingly sloggy?"

Also.

Some of us have wee faces and the giant fat horker American-sized jumbo husky hugehead 3-D glasses they make in only one size slip and slide and don't stay put on the wee faces some of us have.

Stop complaining and count your blessings. I bet you never got your head stuck between bannisters.

Or suffered through the embarrassment of hat shopping and not being able to get anything on your giant noggin.

But Jolie can totally get to the crumbs at the bottom of the Pringles tube with no problem! Blessings!

@syh: Stuck between banisters? Like on Full House?!

@garge …maybe…

HiredGoons (#603)

Oh wow, I actually did my head stuck in a bannister at my grandmother's house; she just laughed and laughed…

Designing Women also had a head stuck in a banister episode.

@kitten: Tell me more!

It is completely possible have a small face and an enormous head, somehow. Trust.

I was thinking about how much they managed to get Daft Punk to sound like Hans Zimmer.

Also, what were you thinking going to see Tron.

LondonLee (#922)

I've never seen a 3D movie. Am I alone in this?

garge (#736)

No, you are not alone, BUT I did put on the glasses in front of the 3D television at Costco (and then nearly threw up my samples).

Bittersweet (#765)

We saw "Up" in 3D last year (or the year before? when did that sucker come out?). Not only were the 3D effects nothing great, but my daughter wouldn't wear the glasses and then complained the movie was "all fuzzy." Needless to say, we haven't shelled out for it since.

garge (#736)

@Bittersweet: see, this is a clear example of why I shouldn't have children, because I would have strapped those glasses on with my emergency roll of duct tape (I assume if you have kids, you keep a roll on hand at all times). 3D movies are expensive!!

HiredGoons (#603)

The best thing about this film is the soundtrack.

Seconded. We all decided it would have been better as a silent movie.
