Shove Over, Manic Pixie Girl! Psycho Danger Slut Is Here!

News finally comes to the east coast from the small port town of San Francisco. "Samantha," a local woman therein, has been infected with a strange new disease, it seems! Though she is just 19, she apparently has a case of the hybristophilia, and so she is on the cover of the weekly newspaper that the townsfolk enjoy. (The quaintest thing about the article? Even the main relationship that documents this woman's condition (with JonBenét Ramsey murder false-confessor John Mark Karr!) is only alleged. Why this lass could also be a fabulist as well!) That's only one of, say, several dozen weird things going on here. Here is part of a more synthetic take on the sudden bolt of limelight on this young creature: "The piece is so symphonically campy ('a young woman in black descends a winding staircase…her dark, wavy hair bounces atop her small frame'), it’s like Mia Farrow phone-ordering bathroom fixtures. Samantha is currently getting killed by commenters, most of whom are still missing the point: that this chick, while a nutter, is no crazier than every other hypertense sexual black hole 19-year-old selling stuff on Etsy and chain-smoking outside Matador. They’re just trying to get scummy hipsters to notice them, that’s all."

As always, Errol Morris did it better first. (see: his "First Person" episode on Sondra London)

John Mark Karr is so hot. That's all I can say about him. His neck is so sexxxy.

@winchesterwolcott: "John Mark Karr and the Psycho Danger Sluts" would be the best transgender psychobilly band ever.

she even studded the leather jacket she is wearing

EVEN!

And San Francisco isn't even much of a port town any more.

"Young women does things many young women do, will talk to reporter about them."

I have to correct you–no one in SF enjoys the SF Weekly. The Guardian is the legit weekly.

migraineheadache (#1,866)

"there are thousands of girls like this in the City and all of them go to AAU" confused me. Unless things have changed, I'm pretty sure SFAI is the locus of far-out 20 year-olds in SF.

Call me old fashioned (and off-topic), but once again I found myself a half-paragraph into that "circumswoop" thing before shouting "SENTENCES BEGIN WITH CAPS, YOU FUCKING PINHEAD" and closing the tab. Sorry, but anybody who thinks this is a legitimate "style" needs to find another hobby immediately.

I refused to read the Tumblr thingie too, and for the exact same reason.

Ugh I'm not gonna have to break my years long streak and read something in the SF Weakly, am I? No, no I'm not.

reason no. 2,126 why i live in oakland and rarely cross the bridge. also, i guess you were joking, but nobody reads the sf weekly. it is, after all, a village voice media paper.

Confused, though: is this going to prevent her from getting a job at 826 Valencia or help her?
