"New materials with the ability to manipulate the speed of light could enable the creation of a 'space-time cloak' capable of masking events or even creating an illusion of 'Star Trek'-style transportation, according to scientists in London." Scientists: "cloak"?

Meh. Let me know when they've got a stone that can bring back the dead and an unbeatable wand, then we'll talk.

I thought they were referring to that gold sprinkly stuff that appears when they transport to another planet. I had my bags packed for Australia, bc that's the only way I'm going there.

Honestly those guys are hyping so much. Those materials are real but nowhere near being invisibility cloaks, let alone whatever the guys are talking about up there. It's dumb and annoying, what they're doing.

Karl Lagerfeld has been working on manipulating space-time for years. But so far, he hasn't been able to break the plus-size barrier.

um, don't things that bend light (like glass, water, anything through which light can pass) also slow down the speed of light? which is why it bends?

and therefore fish are living in a different time paradigm? wait, no. well…
