The Dark Bloom On Young Axl Rose
Reflections on youth at a moment in time: "He isn't pretty yet, he hasn't begun to think of himself as a rock star. He's a boy-man, with a trace of fear in his pugnacious stare. I can't remember what he'd done, that time. Stolen another kid's bike, I think. Or destroyed another kid's bike. When I first saw his hair, I understood something Dana had told me hours before, at a bar: that when they were children, Axl was Raggedy Ann in the Christmas parade. Looking longer, a person could understand something else, too, about the Midwestern darkness in his voice."

Lafayette Jefferson Davis.
He is a dark soul indeed who puts SueBee Honey on his rider.
All I wanna know is: (1) When is Chinese Democracy coming out? And (2) how unfuckingforgettable is that day gonna be?
1.) Two or three years ago. 2.) So "unfuckingforgettable" that it literally says "two or three years ago" on Chinese Democracy's Wikipedia entry.
I'm disappointed in you.
You're just disappointed that it does not literally say "two or three" years ago" on Chinese Democracy's Wikipedia entry.
That's true. I actually even did a find to double-check that it didn't.
"Who the fuck is Taylor Swift?"
Take me down to the JV hall where the guards are mean and the food is shitty.
In the early 90s, my husband and I were walking by Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. It wasn't right by the wharf, because there weren't very many tourists, but it was sort of in that vicinity.
Anyway, we were strolling along and came across this homeless guy sitting on the steps. He was just sitting there looking at pigeons. We barely noticed him. He was still there, 45 minutes later when we walked by again. This time, we did look at him. It was Axl Rose. Just sitting there. Staring at pigeons. At the very top of the stairs was a giant guy, I assume, some sort of security. But he really didn't have much to do. Axl looked so down and out that I think people were going out of their way NOT to look at him.
Plus, he was very engaged in the pigeons.
I want to be wealthy enough that I can consider the pigeons.
I can't wait for the Izzy Stradlin piece.
Duff McKagan or GTFO.
"But who is the man BENEATH the Bucket Head?"
I was in Lafayette. Once.
Once is all you need.
That mugshot looks like Larry Clark's early work.
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets there, all the pigeons gonna come to him
