"The Obama administration cut taxes for middle-class Americans, expects to make a profit on the hundreds of billions of dollars spent to rescue Wall Street banks and has overseen an economy that has grown for the past four quarters.

Most voters don’t believe it."
—You know what? I get this. The economy still sucks and a lot of people are hurting. And yet… America is now the "PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN" nation. Even when you show it the pics, it's all, "THOSE ARE SO PHOTOSHOPPED!" There is also probably a goatse analogy in here, but I don't want to overdo it.

Moff (#28)

I get, like, three texts from Obama a week, so yeah you think he might have mentioned this.

Isn't that the worst? When you think you're getting a text message from someone, and you look at your phone and say "Oh, it's just Obama. Again."

keisertroll (#1,117)

All I get is Joe Biden's voice on my home answering machine, explaining why he had to kill Carl Kasell.

@boy: It really is!

If Matt Damon calls me one more time on behalf of Mario Cuomo, I'm totally boycotting those damn Bourne movies.

The economy is not recovering, I can tell by the pixels.

Since I am such a depressive about this, I now think that many of these folks know and do not care that Obama and the democrats cut their taxes—they are actually, genuinely upset that Obama and the democrats didn't cut the taxes of the top 2% even more. It isn't logical, or rational, but it is what they firmly believe. For let's say half the electorate there is no false consciousness false enough to jar them out of this fantasyland and attend to their actual interests, let alone those of their fellow citizens. And every time democrats make a "political calculation" to try to fit inside this mindset, they make it worse.

Friday's liquid lunch begins in 18 minutes.

I believe it when Obama puts a Segway between my chubby, sallow legs.
