Don't squash spiders! They are our friends. We'd be overrun with much more unpleasant beasts if not for them. Plus, spiderwebs are really pretty.

I killed a spider in my shower this morning. Instead of eating bugs, it ate the bottom of a shampoo bottle. And I'll tell you why. Egg sack. Full of thousands of baby spiders. In your ear.
