Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has offered just-ousted Shirley Sherrod a job. No word yet on whether she'll tell him to stuff it in his spineless face, but there is word from the White House that Vilsack won't be fired. Huh.

Credit Oudemia's lunatic emails.
I like to think, in particular, it was the one I sent to Obama: "I don't blame you, Barack. I blame myself for thinking you were different."
oudemia actually inspired me to write my own lunatic emails; I forgot that was a thing to do, funneling all of my outrage in to Twitter et al these days!
These late posts are usually about fast food! I'm scared!
USDA subsidizes the corn that becomes highly fructosed. So, fast food!
mmmmmm. fructose!
no pun intended.
No sheet cake is large enough to compensate for this flub.
Also, she should say, "Kiss my grits!!!"
Right now she's calculating how much in a lawsuit versus letting it go.
Hostile workplace maybe, could even stretch wrongful termination (even though she officially quit), my mouth is just watering thinking about it.
/thinking about Doctor Disaster being all versatiley…
Even given the full context the video is still worthy of getting fired. So she eschewed a racial bias in favor of a class one? this is still not a proper way for a federal employee to conduct themselves. You're supposed to give everyone the full help they are entitled to, not decide how much you're going to help someone based on how to do you think they are.
This is lost on the modular nature of society of today.
While I was growing up in an olde world style Irish neighborhood, the grandma's were hanging outside their windows watching the kids on the block.
Sure, we tried to out all kinds of mischief, but dammit if them old biddy's weren't on good terms with our parents and almost every move watched like a hawk.
We were pretty good at hacking through that social network at times, but dayyum, we were caught a lot of times.
I suppose all these rich people with their huge mortgages, large credit card bills, and huge car payments (feeling rich because they have new shit that ain't paid for) would rather outsource everything including responsibility for their own actions.
I don't want to leave out those poor families that just have to have that 72" tv now, so they pay $100/month/2years when they really should just save #100/month/1yr and own it outright.
I'll even stab at the heart of the liberal writer beast. Encouraging college grads to pay $450/month for a 8'x10' bedroom in a share on Bleeker (I don't know I almost did that in 98) in order to make it big and rich.
All the while they tut tut about the American Dreaming loser rednecks who vote for tax cuts for the rich as dumb losers…unironically paying too much for living expenses they can't really afford for the same goal of "making it big" in the American Dream. I guess the liberal American Dream of making it big in publishing is somehow not cognitive dissonance at all.
Enough thinking. Sext me Doctor Disaster already.
I'll make my views clearer on the writer beast.
Real artists/writers care about their creations.
The rest are just employees looking for a paycheck.
Frustrated?
You're up all night, every night? Sleep all day?
Lost your dictionary?
I see a remake of Green Acres, with Andy "Android" Breitbart as Oliver Wendell Douglas, Tom Vilsack as Eb, and Shirley Sherrod as Lisa Douglas. I guarantee it'll be Hootersville.
Now if we can just get Glenn Beck for Arnold.
Unfortunately race relations is still such a huge problem in this country. Just when you start to think we have made some progress you realize how massive the divide still is..
