Everybody I know (or have ever known, thanks to FB!) has turned forty this year, last year or next year. So forgive me if I'm not terribly impressed by the Great Gen-X Death Rattle. Now when Britney hits the big 4-0, that'll be a sure sign of a Pop Apocalypse!
I did it this year. Largely uneventful. I puked a lot less on my 40th bday than my 30th.

Forty Schmorty. Fifty was a very telling year for me. The realization of my real hair color, wrinkles, and my mortality came crashing in on me. I need 50's who are doing well.
I had no idea of my real hair color.
I'm 36 and haven't known my real hair color for at least 15 years.
