Game Over! "EMI’s Virgin Records Unveils Groundbreaking Social Media Technology"
From the inbox, regarding the long-considered, much-discussed fate of the troubled making-money-off-music industry: "I am writing to bring your attention to a new a new social media technology that has been embraced by EMI's Virgin Records to help strengthen Music fans' experiences when following their favorite band. The technology is powered by RecreateMyNight.com and provides a social media platform that allows users to re-live concert experiences by streamlining online information. The Constellations are the first band to utilize RecreateMyNight.com, which is being touted as the next generation of social media technology — harnessing the power of existing social networks, like Facebook and Twitter, to provide a streamlined view of nights out." The emphasis is in the original.

Coming out of exile to ask, didn't Trent Reznor do this in 2008 on nin.com with forum/chat, collecting pics and vid from the tours, geotagging, iPhone apps, the remix site, fan interaction, etc.? And wasn't he basically condensing several different free web services onto his own site?
Way to stay relevant, EMI.
Forgot to add, Reznor's collation of "neat shit from the internet" onto his site went so well that his fanbase produced their own 3-disc DVD and distributed it physically.

This isn't for me. I'm only into lowercase music.
Upper case music is too mannered and self-aware. The lower case stuff isn't famous enough to have learned any bad habits.
I hope they cross-market with LocateMyKeys.

Corporate rock is trying harder.
They're really realigning the paradigm here. How proactive.

The way this worked worked out, "..ILackSelfEsteem" is slamming right into an ad for two medium pizzas from Domino's. Turning off the internet now; it won't get better than that today.
Fuck yes! I've been missing Blue States Lose.
I think Choice needs a new email address.
