"It will be a complete embarrassment if she wins, but these things can happen."
-California Republican strategist Allan Hoffenblum on the possibility that birther queen bee Orly Taitz might capture the party's nomination for Secretary of State in today's primary. "Complete embarrassment" is one way of of putting it, particularly for Republicans, but for the rest of us I think it could also be characterized as "so much awesome."

From some blog whose author obviously lets the eagle chew on his/her/its temporal lobe:
Let me run that by you again. Orly Taitz wants to make sure all candidates for office in California elections are legal American citizens. If they are not legally able to vote, Taitz is pledging that they won't be on the ballot in California. So if you are a candidate running for office, you may not get on the ballot in California if you aren't a legal citizen of the United States.
Read between the lines here and help elect Orly Taitz.
…Reading something like this makes me feel like I just stepped off the TARDIS and I'm hearing something in English but it's not really English, it's, like, Slitheen or something? Was this actually written by a legal citizen of Earth? That's what I need to know.
Orly is so breathtakingly crazy. She's like a female Moldovan-emigre dentist/lawyer/real-estate agent version of Alan Keyes. I hope she wins the primary and her opponent in the general runs up an Ahmadinejadesque margin (without the fraud and repression, natch).
