Science: Rapid Weight Loss Leads To Extra Thinness
Looking to shed those extra pounds? Science thinks it might be better to take as much off as quickly as you can! A new study out of Florida followed 262 middle-aged obese women and the results were… I dunno, surprising? Sure, let's go with surprising!
Women in the fast weight-loss group lost over 1.5 pounds (0.68 kg) per week; those in the moderate group lost between 0.5 and 1.5 pounds (0.23 and 0.68 kg) per week; women in the slow group lost less than 0.5 pounds (0.23 kg) per week. They then looked at the women’s weight loss at six and 18 months, as well as any weight regain at the end of the follow-up year.
Those in the fast weight-loss group shed more weight overall, maintained their weight loss for longer and were not more likely to put weight back on than the more gradual weight losers.
And there you have it. You are going to want to starve yourself and exercise as much as possible as soon as possible. Sure, there are health risks associated with losing a lot of weight in a short amount of time, but let's be honest: You are not trying to drop those pounds because you are concerned about your physical fitness. You want to look more attractive so that people will want to do sex to you. You can worrying about the dying later. Right now, go jog, and do not stop for a donut on the way.

I didn't know that 1.5 lbs/week was considered fast.
Seriously. Back in my days of self-loathing and excessive dieting, the weightloss center mandated goal was losing 2 lbs a week.
2 lb a week is supposed to be the fastest that's still considered healthy.
Speaking of which, I want a doughnut now.
This is what I try to tell my girlfriend all the time; lose that weight RIGHT NOW! And she gets super pissed? Now I have science on my side, thankfully
Science won't help you in this, dear.
Thanks to better diet management and increased exercise, my weight from ages 21–30 was recaptured, literally, yesterday morning (binge drinking tonight to celebrate).
And yet, people still do not want to do sex to me. :/
Please advise.
Have you gotten new clothes that fit? Maybe your only problem is that people can't tell. Perhaps you could walk around with a life-size cutout of the former you?
Have you considered the possibility that you're a horrible, ugly person and nobody can stand to be in the same room as you? This is also why your dad left the family when you were 2.
In all seriousness, try acting slutty. You've got to radaite the fact that you're willing to give bjs in the bathroom.
The binge drinking could help with that. Make sure to leave any 'good' friends at home for this though.
Perhaps consider getting fatter, sluttier friends who are neither too fat nor too slutty? They will make you seem whimsical.
My best guy friend recently explained the 10% slutty rule – be 10% slutty for numerous dates; more if you just want to get laid right then and there (so far so good in my experiments!). This combined with the binge drinking as TT noted above should be a recipe for success!
It also helps to lower your standards.
What pray tell does 10% slutty behavior consist of?
10% less pants
@rig: I hear craigslist can solve this problem.
10% of boob covered.
According to my friend, 10% slutty for me would be going braless beneath a thin shirt. Of the two striped shirts in very similar styles that I modeled for him, the orange one was 10% and the white one was fuckmerightthenandthere. I went with option #1, and the object of my fancy has just proposed a third date. It's science!
Next question: do I go with option #2 for date number 3???
I assumed it meant that for 10% of the dates that you go on you should be 100% slutty.
@rigg: Easy now, it's only been one day.
The important thing is to create an out of control spiral where weight loss leads to sex that leads to more weight loss that leads to more sex. Repeat as required.
It really works
Of course they followed middle-aged obese women–they're the easiest to keep up with. I call sample error.
You shouldn't base this on one study of 262 people.
What it looks like is the people with rapid weight loss made a more "intense" change in lifestyle. So the science behind losing the weight might not be justified, but the mental side of it might be better. It takes more change, hard work and sacrifice to lose more weight faster, therefore perhaps these women had more of a positive change on their lifestyle compare to the women that lost weight more moderately.
Hope this makes sense.
