The bottom half of the United States is about to be eaten by a giant clump of oil, the third horrific attack against schoolchildren in three days was committed in China earlier today, and a suicidal college student was discovered wandering around a subway tunnel under the East River with a backpack full of cyanide this morning. Still, it's going to be warm and sunny tomorrow, so, you know, there's that.

I've been trying to figure out how to invite the 82nd Airborne home for a visit–they can't fix China but I bet they can handle the rest of it.
Before we get around to cleaning up this disastrous oil spill, couldn't we first force everyone who supports off-shore drilling to go for a swim down there first? Starting with Sarah Palin?
So yeah.. I was reading about all those Chinese child murders and was thoroughly creeped out. The country is so vast, so populous, so un-free in press and un-equal in income… there must be millions of these crazy things going on each week that no one ever finds out about!
