Scott Roeder, who murdered Kansas abortion provider Dr. George Tiller last May, was sentenced to life in prison yesterday. "The blood of babies is on your hands," shouted Roeder on his way out.

The blood of a person is on his hands. Fifty-one years without parole is still too lenient for this psychopath.
Why do Americans love killing one another so much?
I think it's in the constitution somewhere.
It's the inherent sense of moral superiority to everyone, everywhere*.
*(WHICH I AM)
Relax. Just because you're locked up for the rest of your days doesn't mean you're not a hero in the mirror.
I tell myself this every morning!
Aww, they were all gonna grow up to be abortionists anyway, what's his problem?
I'm going to give this guy the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure he said this to a mother in the courtroom (she was tending to twin babies who each had a nosebleed).
That's less crazy, and a lot less evil, than what it was–he said it to the prosecutors. If you really want to swallow your gut, listen to the guy's "statement" about why he did it.
His theory is that, in convicting him, the State deprives him of continuing his holy mission, which is killing people who kill babies.
When this guy finally croaks and they do the post- on him, they're going to find the Old Testament in his colon.
@KarenUhOh: He had to get his fiber somehow.
He'll have plenty of time to send us all postcards about this hand-blood from the hoosegow.
Yes! My favorite prison euphemism. That and "the pokey".
The only blood on anybody's hands is the blood of women who are going to die – because they'll be forced to carry dangerous pregnancies to term – on his slimy hands.
He chose life.
gold star!
Its just sad that he and Randy Neugebauer never got to do their duet.
I'm pretty sure that's just the way he says good-bye.
