True story, apparently - The Turtles played at the Nixon White House for his daughter's birthday party in '69 or so. After a combination tuner/metronome caused a minor secret service panic on their way in, they were given the Lincoln Bedroom for a dressing room, which they proceeded to use "in ways Mr. Lincoln never intended."
Wish I could find that clip of their doc (which is great, if you like funny rock n roll stories) on youtube...this is good too though.
