The Andrew Cuomo Inevitability Effect

Andrew Cuomo's approval rating has dropped 13 points in the last week, according to the latest Marist poll. Azi Paybarah suggests this has something to do with the attorney general's investigation of Governor David Paterson, but my own theory is that people are starting to realize that, Fuck, we're going to be stuck with Andrew Cuomo as governor for the next four years.

The worst part: we're gonna be stuck with a fucker for the next four years. 'Cause certainly the person will be a fucker.

Four years as governor without resigning in shame? Inconceivable!

Listicle without commentary. Best Cuomo's (in order of best to worst):

1. Mario Cuomo
2. Immacolata Cuomo
3. Maria Cuomo Cole
4. Chris Cuomo
5. All other Cuomos (whether now known or hereafter discovered)
6. Andrew Cuomo

formerly it takes a lot etc.

Andrew Cuomo will not be governor, hell, he may not even end up as the Dem nominee (here's a guess: Weiner). But my guess is the Repupblican will win, no matter what Dem runs.

The anti-incumbent fervor caused by the fact that Bush and Republicans screwed up everthing, will continue just long enough to put Republicans back in power. And that's what makes the USA great.

When it comes to politics in New York, think race first. And sure enough, among non-whites, Cuomo's "good" rating dropped from 56% to 38% during that time.
