Saturday Night's East Village Riot
And how was your weekend? Back in the East Village, apparently a roving street brawl took place around Avenue A early Sunday morning-this series of photos was taken on East 7th Street, closer to A than First Ave., outside fancy contemporary Greek restaurant Pylos (try the haloumi!). The total police response from the 9th Precinct was one squad car.

One riot, one ranger.
Oh man, they sent *three squad cars* to talk to *one homeless guy* in front of the 7-11 by my metro stop yesterday afternoon?
This way past my bedtime.
That's a pretty brave dude to be getting in there and taking photos!
This rolled right past my apartment building. The fight moved all the way from A to First and back again; I'd say there were about 25 people involved in total. It was at least 15-20 minutes before there were sirens, too. Good job NYPD!
But Saturday night's alright for fighting? #East8thandCrepresent
If they just built more condos over there, there would be more police around and this stuff wouldn't happen.
just another flashmob? like the pillow fight in Union Square?
Plaid is back, I see.
I love the one guy who looks like he's in Burberry.
Oh, boys will be boys. They're just letting off a little steam. I'm sure the cop that went there was just to make sure things didn't get out of hand later on.
The above photo causes my synapses to transmit: RUN.
Waiting for the bathroom at 7A will do that to people.
I demand to know how this will affect the value of other people's property!
This was all because Odessa is longer open 24 hours. I personally punched three people and broke two windows on the way to Veselka.
I got punched in the face right there once by a wimpy guy with a light fist. It was very funny.
