Finally! I call them "beach drinks," whether or not an actual beach is involved.
Wait, outdoor drinks are ever out of season?
Tomorrow I will be drinking a frozen goombay smash. Perhaps two.
An insulated metal thermos is ideal for mixing a batch of martinis to take on picnics.
There will be Pimm's Cups this afternoon. Oh yes.
I love a Pimm's cup and really wish they would bring back all six of the Pimm's varieties. Not quite warm enough for me to break this cocktail out, though.

Bullfrog:
1 ltr of vodka
3 2ltrs of sprite
1 pack of lemonade koolade (the one with sugar)
sliced lemons and oranges
Pour all together into a styrofoam cooler and stir with whatever you have handy. Add ice and drink Bud and smoke a few cigs while waiting for it to chill.
My college roommate used to make this with Everclear. It was righteous.
1. Open can of grape soda. Of your choice. Hell. Grape Kool-Aid works.
2. Empty top 1/3. Hell. 1/2. Fuck. 2/3.
3. Fill with Absolut.
4. Stir in stomach.
5. Repeat.
It's time to pull out the Gin & Tonic pants!

YES! Personally less madras more big busy pattern. We're a colorful bunch at family picnics, makes your eyes ache.
We would buy box wine, take out the mylar sacks, put them in the bottom ice-filled coolers filled with soda, and pretend they were ice packs. (This was mainly for outdoor Chicago Grant Park stuff, where the cops would search your coolers prior to admittance.)
Take 1 orange and 1/2 grapefruit.
Juice 'em and mix.
Add Campari until it turns the color of sunset.
It makes me weep to think of it. You can add vodka but it'll make you drunk.
'tis the season to transition from brown liquor to clear liquor.

.50 Caliber recipe
2 oz Jack Daniel's® Tennessee whiskey
2 oz Jim Beam® bourbon whiskey
2 oz dry gin
2 oz Absolut® vodka
1 oz Squirt®
Pour the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey, Jim Beam bourbon whiskey, dry gin and Absolut vodka into a highball glass half-filled with ice cubes. Add Squirt and serve.
They still make Squirt® ?
I don't understand all the extra ingredients. My recipe:

A bit of lime goes a long way, though.
marashino cherry juice…not extra real estate for the cherries.
Take a 1 litre glass bottle of Evian…empty
add 1 98% bottle of Stoli into this. Add remaining 2% of bottle with Fresca.
Place this bottle in freezer for 3 hours-set an alarm clock or bottle will crack and that would suck.
Wouldn't the alcohol would prevent it from freezing?
I'd be more inclined to think about outside drinks if it were warmer than 48 degrees out there and everybody I know wasn't pumping cold water out of their basements…

drain and discard the watermelon.
mix equal parts vodka and lemonade.
