Erykah Badu Sings "Window Seat" On Jimmy Fallon
Erykah Badu brought her top hat and silver swim cap to Jimmy Fallon's show last night to sing her new single "Window Seat" with old friends the Roots-who, you'll remember, made much of the music on her first album, Baduizm, way back in 1996. She also wore a tan leather jacket over a very tight Wonder Woman costume that showed very much the shape of her body. But don't say anything about that because she is awesome.
The hell's wrong with the shape of her body? That's awesome, too.
What do you mean, "don't say anything about (the shape of her body) because she is awesome"???? Her body is rockin too, how dare you?
It's people with expectations like yours who are responsible for so many women with eating disorders. These unhealthy expectations of what a woman's body should look like cause young, impressionable women to starve themselves into Victoria's Secret's (airbrushed, i might add) idea of what a "sexy" woman should look like.
The truth is, Erykah Badu is a gorgeous, strong, powerful, healthy and SEXY woman who looks every bit as beautiful as any woman should ever hope to.
She is a mother of three (one of whom is still a baby), a busy musician and about to release another album. That's not enough for people? She has to also have the body and genes of a supermodel or we have to apologize for her?
Our generation is so fucked up.

Oh no! Karen and Sarita: I did not mean to offend. I think Erykah's body is rockin' and looks great, too. I was referring to the fact that we can see more of her vagina than we can usually see in public. But I take responsibility for the confusion, because I tried to make note of this particular aspect of her performance-something that I thought was a bit glaring and distracting-in language that was intentionally vague. My fault. Please consider this my next public apology.

Body looks pretty damn nice to me too, I wouldn't kick her out of bed if she farted.
She's one of the few artists these days who turn me into a gushing, buy-new-record-on-day-of-release fanboy. I still need that feeling.

Can someone tell me if the guy in the back wearing a THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS t-shirt? Because that would strike me as being odd/funny. Anyway, I've watched it four times now and it's driving me crazy.
That man is wearing a Legendary Roots Crew t-shirt. That is because the house band for Jimmy Fallon (and the band backing Erykah in the video) is The Roots.
