The reviews for Chris Morris' Four Lions, the "terrorist comedy" that premiered at Sundance last week, have been mixed but mostly positive, but nothing I've seen so far indicates that the film has picked up any funding. Which is a shame; I am desperate to see this movie. Anyway, here's a clip. We can talk about the whole "when is something off limits to laughter" issue if the picture ever gets picked up. In the meantime, do check out some of his earlier work.

Ha ha ha. Whacked in the nuts with a hammer .... Ha ha ha.
Just need that special single terrorist organization to balk to get this to Muhammad cartoons controversy and we'll have it torrented lickety-split.
also Ya! I can't wait to see this- the bitter ideologue Morris needs more to know of him (in spite of his own periodic avoidance of limelight).
I know it's terrible, but seeing people of Middle Eastern descent plotting terrorist acts speaking in thick working-class British accents like they're in some kind of Guy Ritchie-esque caper film automatically adds +5 comedy points for me.
VERY excited to see this. I was worried that Morris had lost his interest in accessibility completely with the blue-black "comedy" stylings of Jam and Blue Jam (appealing as those are, if one is in the right frame of mind).
I know the label gets overused and has probably been lazily employed in regards to something like Kings of fucking Leon, but Morris really is a GENIUS.
Co-sign. Hearing old stories from Armando about Chris Morris was one of the best parts of working on 'In The Loop.'
Jealous! (Worked with Armando on it in US or UK?)
US. I was a "political consultant" to the film. Basically that meant a couple days of taking Armando around Washington & introducing him to some sources of mine. A great guy who made a great film.
My friends made a short about Nib Nidal, the world's stupidest terrorist. They included a jihadist video of a banana getting beheaded. Never not funny.
