Spencer Ackerman checks in on The Daily Caller, which launched today. What are they talking about over there? "Legalized rape. What's that you say? Rape isn't sanctioned in this country? Then you must not live in a city with red-light or speed cameras, where it happens every day…. the only deterrent effect the technology has is deterring your government from being honest about raping its own citizenry. If you're going to slide me a roofie, Government, at least take me to dinner and a movie first." Ah, okay!

Here is my new daily routine: Wake-up. Watch the Daily Rundown on MSNBC; check-out the Daily Beast; make fun of the Daily Caller; watch the Daily Show; take a nap.
Read Daily Intel at NY Mag; have lunch with Tyne Daly …
Fork.
Fork in eye?
You forgot about reading the Daily Dish. Was that intentional?
Frigid Farah knows just how he feels.
"Hi, welcome to "Ask Matt Labash." I'll be your host, Matt Labash. The idea for this column – if idea isn't too strong a word – is to trivialize rape and get pilloried on every other blog until someone throws a brick big enough to knock me off the Internet!"

Also, -1 for hopping on the Formspring bandwagon.
To be fair, it is a humor column. And rape is hilarious.
Needs more genocide.
When I read it I was under the impression it was a sendup of a columnist I'd never read. Like today's "Hi I'm Harold Ford" on this site, where a one writer magnifies another's idiosyncratic writing voice and personal foibles to the point of ridiculousness, then writes a column under their name. But if that's something the guy expected to fly under his own byline… Wow. Just wow.
This seems as good a post as any to complain about those heinous American Apparel ads. Where are the hot guys in almost-revealing American-made clothes? I'm sure most of the women and a good number of the men here would be thrilled to see a shlong outline on a male model's tighty whities.
I peeked at The Awl this weekend and one of my fucking ex-boyfriends was in the American Apparel AD. I almost dropped my laptop.
You get guys in your American Apparel ads? So jealous. All I get are whorey-looking females in clothes I wouldn't take if you gave them to me for free. *sigh*
Not going to lie. I have been enjoying the AA ads. I like the way they jump around and the colors of the stockings change and stuff. Do they sell boots?
I suppose launching a conservative huffington post is ok but i'd much prefer someone launch a good huffington post.
It seems to me that making a half decent news aggregator should be easy and yet they all suck. Just link to a bunch of shit and fuck off. Easy.
