Synaesthesia has other forms as well. I know this will sound weird, but, in the past I had had some neuropathy in my leg that I could best describe to the doctor as feeling the way a sitar sounds.
Yup. Weird stuff. I associate digits and colors based on a phone's keypad. 1/4/7 is black/green/brown. 2/5/8 is blue/red/purple(periwinkle). 3/6/9 is yellow/pink or white skin/orange, and 0 is white.
What's weird, though, is that I associate each of those three sets with a different Where's Waldo? page, and I couldn't tell you why.
In order to learn basic math, I had to invent genders and personalities for numbers 1-10, as well as relationships between the numbers that served as complex mnemonic devices. Does that count?
Well, this was kindergarten and first grade we're talking about, but I remember that 6 had a crush on 7, but 5 was always following her around and 7 was afraid that hanging out with such babies would make him look uncool to his bff, 8. And all 8 cared about was impressing 9, who, naturally, wanted to get with 10.
Is it possible to have synaesthesia and color-blindness?
My roommate in college used to have synaesthesia, though it was only really pronounced when she was agitated or stoned.
When ambulances would go by she would sometimes have to cover her eyes and ears.
Also the sort of person who could get away with wearing sunglasses at night and not looking like a douche.
She was fucking amazing at making music though, still is.
I don't know why I said 'used to have' ?
Alas, the person I knew in college who "had" synaesthesia* was a flaky hippie who was almost certainly full of shit.
*Ae? Really? Is this the the NYer now?
If they start using umlauts over doubled-letters I'm clicking close-tab.

The sauciest being...?

oh, let me guess! and 7 ate 9?
Thanks to my dad, I was already sick of puns by kindergarten. So, no.
This is not a helpful test for synesthesia the relates color to music.
