Your Nobel Peace Prize President speaks: "War: bad, but necessary. America: mistrusted, but a force for good. Tyranny: terrible, especially in Burma, Zimbabwe, Iran, and North Korea. Me: deeply unworthy, hoping to be better." Did I miss anything? Looks like he hit everything on the checklist.

I've never heard anyone so delicately say, "Oh. My. This is awkward."
I know! The whole speech felt like, "I wish you hadn't done that."
At least the teleprompter was loaded with the right speech this time. BTW, I wonder who is President Zero's new literary man now that Red Bill Ayers has retired from the presidential wordsmith office.
Chills. Really. I feel like I should fix my hair.
"Aw shucks. This one's for all the little people out there."
Saudi Arabian tyranny is still ok, though, apparently.
As are drone bombers endlessly killing villagers for no reason.
I don't see the connection, but then I'm not a mind numbed Leftard like you.
@Ronbo: Dude, it's 'libtard.' If you must insult, do it properly.
Is this how you meet women?
Kim Jong-Il will wake up happy, knowing that he got name-checked.
Kim Jong-Il doesn't sleep. He waits.
...for his Chinese Communist masters to tell him his next step against the USA and Western Civilization.
Your firm grasp of foreign relations never fails to delight me.
I would think Ronbo of all people would know a "Chuck Norris facts" reference when he saw one.
The Chinese are communists in name only.
So were the Russians.
Sorry, this was for HG's comment about the Chinese.
Every time he gives a "Big Speech", it is so level-headed, nuanced and intellectually honest that almost no one in the media knows what to say about it. No cliches. No jingoistic bullshit. No straw men set ups.
It was so incredibly refreshing to hear a leader stand up and recognize and cherish the ideal of peace but then to also note that peace comes from strength. To praise and align himself with Gandhi and King and then evoke Reagan and Gorbachev as models to follow. To quote Michelle, it made me proud of my country that our leader is man so serious, smart and balanced as Barack Obama.
I'm not joking here. I watched the speech and felt truly blessed that he is our President.
.... and /dick joke
Now forever known as the Not Dubya Award.
Good speech. Reading it filled me with yearning. Yearning for peace and progress, and also, for apostrophes.
