Usain Bolt Adopts Cheetah Kitten, Prepares To Make Everyone Cry

by Dave Bry posted @4:10 PM

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has adopted a baby cheetah. Bolt, who won three gold medals at the 2008 olympics and holds the world speed records for human beings in both the 100 and the 200 meter dash, picked up his new pet on a four-day trip to Kenya, where he is helping to raise awareness for an animal conservation campaign. He named the cheetah, which will eventually run even faster than he does, "Lightning Bolt." Pretty cool. But wait until the cheetah is fully grown, and returned to the wild, and then remembers his human friend one year later when Usain comes to visit with a camera crew in tow. A leaps into his arms to the strains of an Aerosmith power ballad. That's going to be totally amazing.

Adopting a cheetah is to animal conservation as Usain Bolt is to modesty.

This is racist. Or is that repetitive? Either way, it's offensively boring.

Really he has done a great job. Now he is a celebrity and has rightly used his fame for spreading the awareness about the animals and their welfare. I think more celebrities should come forward for protecting the helpless animals.
