The Yankees may be essentially Bloombergian in spirit, but I believe we have President Obama to thank for this latest development. Now that a Democrat is in charge, the coastal elites are back to showing the rest of the country who's the boss. To wit: the last time the Yankees won a World Series under a Republican president it was during Eisenhower administration(!). Coincidence? I think not.
Yeah, but most modern Democrats are essentially Eisenhower era Republicans, so...
The Yankees never won a World Series while Don Mattingly wore the uniform either...as a player or a coach. Which is kinda sad.
