I had no idea we were handing out special dispensations for those who performed well at their jobs in the aftermath of 9/11, but if that's the case-and it seems to be the argument here-then we certainly should allow former New York City police commissioner Bernie Kerik, imprisoned after giving a supporter sealed court records from his current corruption case, a free pass. I mean, it's only fair.

Let us also never forget about those who direct well-regarded moving pictures.
And who entered into plea bargains with judges who did not honor the terms of that agreement.
Oh let's not get into this again!
Let's not. But I don't think the director honored the terms of the agreement either.
Say what you want about Kerik. You're paying for his housing right now. I suppose that keeps him off the streets, preventing him from harming society with further renovations on his house.
I believe the Accomplishment Compensation Act of 2008 allows for the following:
Directed critically acclaimed film â€" 1 free rape.
Performed heroically in 9/11 â€" 1 free corruption pass.
Composed stinging blog memo â€" 1 free theft of retail goods valued less the $1,000.
Many times there is a considerable time lag from the time a prisoner checks in until he/she is allowed his/her prescription drugs. This can sometimes lead to a difficult adjustment period. If you just wait it out, Geraldo, I'm sure Bernie's troubles may straighten out in time.
Balk, ever the provocateur.
Was kind of banking on Geraldo busting a vessel at some point, but no luck.
The Idiot punditocracy eats its own. And why is Bo Dietl on television, anyway?
