"Isaac Hayes' game-changing film score, which launched the soul/funk soundtrack craze in the early '70s, is given a deluxe reissue." – Pitchfork.
I wonder in what ways said reissue might change the game today?

Perhaps, but it would not be until Black Caesar that I was moved to change the poster blocking the light through my bedroom window from Jim Brown to Fred Williamson.
Game's already been changed by my man Micheal Steele.
I actually like "game-changing," if only because of another cliche that's used less as a result: "seminal." This one's far less sticky.
So was he supposed to use only cliches from 1971?
Or just use cliches from Shaft. "Isaac Hayes' bad motherfucker of a film score..."
Fuck, they should use cliches from Shaft in all of their record reviews. "Grizzly Bear ain't so white either, baby."
"Who is the band that would risk their necks for their brother man?"
"Arcade Fire!"
"Daaammmn right!"
"I'm just talkin' about Feist..."
"Close it yourself, shitty!"
This is so deeply right.
