Wow, Pittsburgh picked up on an obscure hip trend in less than ten years? I'm honestly impressed!

I've been watching these guys on LES for a couple years. They've got bike skillz and sometimes the girls play in tutus or other weird costumes Pick up some dumplings over at Dumpling House and set up on a bench for the afternoon.

The first rule about bike polo is YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT GETTING JOBS!!

itsthenewjanbrady

I know of people who do this as a career, actually getting paid to go around the country and play with other people who have managed to not have a job for years..they have women back home raising their kids.

@mathnet, the NYTimes ran a piece about this in 1988: http://www.nytimes.com/1988/09/14/garden/a-game-of-kings-now-has-spokes.html

and in 2007: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/27/sports/othersports/27polo.html

and probably every summer in between.

Ski joring, aka horse-pulled skiing, is done on snow, not water, but it is for real: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNZL0Ma7GEs&feature=related
