Atheists Determined To Reinforce Stereotypes

by Balk posted @10:10 AM

Here's a story about yet another campaign aimed at convincing theists that you can have a fulfilling and moral life without believing in some sort of divine overseer. I've already expressed my feelings on this issue, but, really, can't the atheism movement try a little harder to make sure that their spokesfolk don't look exactly like the actors that would be cast in the Onion version of this clip? You're asking people to give up their gods; at least show up with someone who looks like Brad Pitt or something.

Well, he may not be Brad Pitt, but at least you got Alan Ruck. What more do you want? He was in 'Young Guns 2' for chrissakes.

1). Religions/Non-religions always use the bottom of the barrel when it comes to tract models. They're doing God/O'Hair/Xenu's work. 2). They had to get the one reporter that sounds like Mr. Slave. Jesus Christ.

They may have accomplished more with a wall of text on the sign explaining the merits of rationalism and scientifically proven facts rather than the Mongo-esque "NO GOD? …NO PROBLEM." Just sayin'.
