While the main focus concerning Sarah Palin's financial disclosure statement has centered around the $1.25 million that the former Alaska governor was paid to "write" her memoir Going Rogue, the far more interesting question concerns Pie Spy, the business she started while in office. Politico's Ben Smith does some digging and discovers that the company "is listed with a North American Industry Classification System code corresponding to companies that provide services to the elderly or to people with disabilities." Which probably rules out the possibility that Pie Spy has something to do with a webcam one can place in a ladies' locker room for the surreptitious viewing of women in various states of undress. I mean, it doesn't rule it out entirely, but that's probably not what it is.

If Pie Spy isn't a company about covert guerrilla pastry stealing, its a damn waste of a name.
