The happiest words among New Jersey Democrats today are "margin of error," because that what incumbent Governor Jon Corzine is well within, according to the latest poll. Considering that everyone in New Jersey still hates him, how has Corzine managed to pull even with Republican Chris Christie, who just a month ago had a double-digit lead? Well, a couple of things are working against the former U.S. Attorney: His refusal to give specifics on how he'd fix the budget shortfall during the first debate made him look dishonest. Independent candidate Chris Daggett offers a good alternative for those who can't stand Corzine but aren't inclined to pull the lever for a Republican. Corzine's barrage of ads against his opponent seem to have done the job of dragging his approval rating down. Also hurting Christie: excessive tubbiness. Looks like Corzine may get that presidential visit after all.

He'll need more than "that presidential visit" is going to win. Fortunately, there's a bunch more Christie scandals in the pipeline.
Or just "to win," depending on consciousness level.
I was tied up in New Jersey once. I will always remember that weekend in Atlantic City fondly.
I swear to god Christie is going to lose because people take one look at him and think, "Jesus Christ, I don't want my asshole brother-in-law to be governor!"
He may not be able to balance the state budget, but by god he'll make you an offer you can't refuse on a gently-used Subaru.
Corzine can use that iPhone boobie app you featured yesterday to show how he'll continue to have mammograms covered.
Christie screwed the pooch in the debates...Chris Daggett was the only one who knew what the hell was going on.
