Fifty years ago today, Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone" debuted on CBS. Using creepy science fiction as a veil for thought-provoking social criticism, the 156 episodes that would follow stand as some of the very best television ever created. (Without it, there would be no Chuck. And no Lost! Oh. Hmm.) Here is the opening of the first episode, "Where Is Everybody."

Wow, that's like my every Saturday night: I can't find anyone, and I end up alone with a love doll. Sigh.
Rod Serling was a genius pushing many more boundaries than he is even given credit for. I've even got a soft spot for the Night Gallery. Good one on the post.
So true.
Questions: Do any of us really know who we are? What does it mean to be an American? And where can I get $2.85?
No. Nothing and look in between your cushions.
