ALSO(!)

"What makes this crime so shocking is that police say at least 20 people were involved in the rape or stood and watched the crime without going for help."

Cannot contextualize these events. Imminent server fail.

Yeah, I had to read that twice just to be sure.

"For those who watched and did nothing, it may be morally reprehensible, but it's not illegal."

How about accessories to a felony?

Is "being a subhuman sociopath" a crime?

But was it, like, a 'dance-dance'?

'Ho', down.'

God, I'm going to hell. Seriously I do not find this funny.

kitten_witawip

I don't find the actual events funny at all. I guess this makes me a bit like the Marin Trujillo.

The place sounds like a chamber of horrors. And they let the security guards leave at 9:00 p.m.

There is going to be hell to pay for this, and the hell of it is, it won't pay for a thing.

"Richmond High School has a 69 percent truancy rate and is in a school district that had 19 student murders last year." How is it that schools like this are allowed to continue to function, year after year? Somebody call Green Dot Public Schools (anyone read this in the New Yorker?).

Ooops. That was supposed to contain this quote:
"Estimates for the number of people present for the more than two hour assault on the girl have grown. Initially police believed 20 people either took part in the attack or watched it happen."

(That damn site apparently doesn't let you cut & paste.)
(And it's also REALLY unfortunate that the last thing I apparently ctrl+c'd was a gag gift I was suggesting for a friend. *gulp*)

While initial plans did not include a camera in the alleyway on the north side of campus where the attack took place, "I'm pretty sure they are going to be looking at that area now," Trujillo said.

I NEED SOMEONE TO HATE FOR THIS AND YOU ARE IT FOR NOW, TRUJILLO

kitten_witawip

It is so blatantly obvious that he trying to distance the school from any liability. Everything he says makes him sound an imbecile.

"Classes are back in session at Richmond High School after a horrific gang rape of a 15-year-old student." oh, a horrific gang rape? unlike the other kind...
