People Hire Joe Trippi? With Money? For Advice?

The best part of this TV appearance by erstwhile campaign adviser Joe Trippi is how Rachel Maddow wants to leap across the desk and kill him! And how she has to shut him up. And how he made her TV program run long, so she had to speed-talk through most of the night. The topic of conversation: push-polling. Which he does not believe exists, when it is brought to his attention, except that he agrees it is a very bad thing. It is remarkable that he works. (Does he?) I would not hire him to clean my kitchen, to be honest.

I thought Trippi was doing his impression of that Fred Armisen "Weekend Update" character who wears the army jacket and reads from newspapers but never finishes a sentence.

I watched that last night and thought he was some Joe Trippi lookalike they got at short notice when the real one was too busy. I mean, how else do you explain how the "legendary Joe Trippi" (I think Maddow called him that) could sound like he was just winging it and was probably drunk to boot?

Certainly not, if his kitchen is anything to go by.

Oh hey Rachel, HERE's a question, what the is the point of any opinion dynamics polling when it's done every 2 weeks? And Joe, regardless of how much of a NJ Boxing Commissioner he looks, is right when he says "Who cares?" and points out everyone just uses whatever poll reinforces their already-heald views anyway.

God, she's so desperate on the push polling thing...

And Rachel, finally, your whole "I've got no problem with Fox it's just that..." act is disingenuous as hell, as bad as when O'Relly or somebody says something like "I've got no problem with Obama being president, it's just that..."

I wonder how Joe Trippi's responses would have changed if the company that did the polling in question had been any other than Opinion Dynamics Corporation. He seemed intent on protecting them, and sticking up for their reputation more than answering the questions. Maybe Trippi wants a discount on ODC provided services for his current and future clients.
