There's something that's bothering me about this item here, but I can't quite place my finger on it. It's almost like there's a wrong word in it.
CBS' Mark Knoller – an unofficial documentarian and statistician of all things White House-related – wrote on his Twitter feed that, "Today – Obama ties Pres. Bush in the number of rounds of golf played in office: 24.Oh, right, that's it: The wrong word is "news."Took Bush 2 yrs & 10 months."
This news comes on the heels of today's news that Obama played golf with a woman – chief domestic policy adviser Melody Barnes – for the first time since taking office.

But I thought he was "doing too much", now he's lazy?
I wish they'd make up their minds so I know what I'm supposed to think about him.
...but Bush took 100 times as many naps and vacations as Obama.
Yeah, how many times has Obama been to Crawford since he took office?
how much brush has he cleared?
Cherri! The magic has happened! Woohoo!
Yeah, but how many people has Joe Biden accidentally shot?
This one NEVER gets old, seriously.
Don't you people see how sexist Obama is? Jeez.
Buried at the end of the Times piece on this was a comment along the lines of, "Um, maybe no girls wanted to play his stupid game of golf. Big fucking deal."
The snarkish side of me posits that all the golf being played is in direct proportion to the amount of work being done. The realistic side of me realizes that Mr. Bush was a mentally unfit for the office, so something is better than nothing.
I would also imagine that Obama can multi-task i.e. swing a club, think, converse.
I was just going to say, Barry is probably working while playing golf, as opposed to just furrowing his brow and snickering.
@Goons: I don't get it. You also described Bush's work actions.
"Now watch this drive."
What's his handicap?
Dubya gave up golf to support the troops (How'd that work out?). It's also easier to hide from the paparazzi when riding through the woods.
Tweet all you like, Mark, you'll never match what you accomplished with "Brothers in Arms".
Heh. That's how I first read his name too.
at least obama ended the wars in iraq and afghanistan.
