Sad news: Sumo, the Maltese terrier belonging to former French president Jacques Chirac, has been sent away to a farm in northern France after he attacked his owner for the third time. Why is Sumo so angry? Apparently, it is because of the traumatic move from the French presidential palace.
Used to roaming the large gardens of the Elysee Palace, the Maltese terrier has found down-sizing to an apartment on the Quai Voltaire unbearable and, according to Mrs Chirac, severe depression has turned him from an innocent white fluff-ball into a ferocious attacker of ex-presidents. In January this year, Mr Chirac had to be hospitalised after the dog sank his teeth into an unnamed body part.Poor thing. Cheer up, Sumo! Hopefully "sent him away to the farm" means something different in France than it does here.

That looks like a bichon frise.
The presidential cat, on the other hand, has been repeatedly assaulted by a vocal and energetic skunk.
Who or what doesn't bite French people? Stuck up chain-smokers.
Nipping at their (sometimes former) leader's heels:
France: small dogs
Italy: prostitutes
Switzerland: Hollywood
Who wins?
That's a dog after my own heart. If somebody tried to drag me out of MY palace you better damn WELL believe there would be some blood drawn.
Especially if Carla Bruni had moved in.
i prefer my unnamed body parts without toothmarks.
