AP Can Give You Whatever Obama Angle You Need

Articulate, or notIn an analysis piece last month about the health care debate, the AP's Liz Sidoti wondered why President Obama was having such a hard time getting people to accept the need for reform.

A failure of leadership? Or simply a failure to communicate? Are those things the same when a complicated issue is so important to so many? And if a president can't articulate his vision on something so sprawling and all-encompassing, how can he lead?
In an analysis piece yesterday, the AP's Liz Sidoti wondered why President Obama is spending to much time trying to shape public opinion on the issues.
Put aside for a moment the question of whether government is actually intruding into people's lives more than before. The point is that many people feel like it is – in part because Obama doesn't stop talking about his goals. If President George W. Bush got slapped around for being inarticulate, is Obama obnoxiously articulate?
I guess a lot has changed in a month, huh? [Much more here.]

She is a very poor student of Carl Rowe's school of thought. This is to attach the messenger not the message. It is the easier route to take when the message is perceived as being obnoxiously articulate.

She's having the same cognitive dissonance issues as the rest of the Villagers. The country changed profoundly over the past year, but she and Tweety and their pathetically stupid ilk have no clue. That's because they only listen and talk to one another.

All you opinion media people look for what will sell today. You sell the opinion that will sell today. The opinion that will sell tomorrow will be different, so you'll sell that opinion. Have you ever heard of someone who sells opinions refusing to sell one on a particular topic on moral grounds? That person would truly be a poor opinion seller and would be fired.

There is no lasting truth in the opinions of a person who sells opinions to make a living because that person will provide you with the opinion that you're willing to buy today, lest they lose their job to someone who's willing to provide the saleable opinion that the audience wants.
