Just another day: Conservative website Newsmax is distancing itself from an article by a longtime columnist endorsing "endorsing a potential military coup as the only way to solve the 'Obama problem.'" Here's an excerpt.
Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration that would do the serious business of governing and defending the nation. Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars. Having bonded with his twin teleprompters, the president would be detailed for ceremonial speech-making.The essay has been pulled, but the whole thing's here.
Military intervention is what Obama's exponentially accelerating agenda for "fundamental change" toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America. A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama's radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible.

One quick call to the NRA and then you can have many thousands of angry white men and their guns on the mall in DC--no need for the military. Of course then you might have to contend with the Crips, Bloods and a few mexican gangs gathering in opposition...wait a minute I think I just gave away Brett Ratners next movie plot...
remake of West Side Story?
"Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars."
Detroit *really could* be the New Fallujah, Rush!
The Axelrod/Emanuel strategy of claiming that elements of the right's lunatic fringe in fact lead the Republican party has hardened into a tendency among the news media to spotlight the worst offenders against ethical public debate. Too bad this phenomenon rewards human garbage like Glenn Beck and the columnist above with fame.
"Claiming"? That's odd -- in the version of Earth I inhabit (I think it's like Earth-454 or something), the chairman of the RNC was forced to apologize to Rush Limbaugh not that long ago. That sort of thing would almost lead one to believe that elements of the right's lunatic fringe do in fact lead the GOP.
or that the GOP is in fact "the lunatic fringe"

Yes! Bringing Democracy to Iraq, Part II: The America Version!
democracy is coming...to the usa...
The birther nonsense is meant to enable and justify a coup - "We didn't do anything wrong by deposing him because he wasn't really President!"
If I had my pick between bloodless or blood-filled, I guess I would have to go with bloodless since it seems more sanitary for everyone involved.
*(holds up sign with screw and baseball)
"military-trained, nation-builders" WAIT WAIT WE HAVE THOSE? WHY ARE THEY NOT IN AFGHANISTAN RIGHT FUCKING NOW?
(also bad comma placement FYI)
Grammar and usage are socialist plots to take control of your English.
Wow, the right wing of this country certainly has trouble with pesky free elections, don't they? Where was all this concern for the constitution during FISA, wiretaps, et. al.?
hold on, Obama is still radical? Why am I, as a 'leftist,' so disappointed then? Am I living in the bubble of the internet too much to recognize the 'fundamental change' in society? how disorienting this essay is..
These rightwingnuts all have one thing in common: they've never had an orgasm that registered more than a two on the Richter scale.
This is why they are angry.
That's what happens when Ann Coulter is your idea of a pin-up girl.
Balk, your parodies keep getting sharper and sharper.
