The Man Who Wants To Destroy The Pandas

BBC presenter Chris Packham has caused controversy by suggesting that we let pandas-nature's most adorable creatures-shuffle off this mortal coil. "Here is a species that, of its own accord, has gone down an evolutionary cul-de-sac. It's not a strong species. Unfortunately, it's big and cute and a symbol of the World Wide Fund for Nature and we pour millions of pounds into into panda conservation. I reckon we should pull the plug. Let them go, with a degree of dignity," said Packham of the animals who are just the cutest things in the world. Look at that sleepy baby panda trying to climb in the video there! Who would want to live on a planet without that? Packham later offered an apology for upsetting people with his remarks. He added, "Also we should cull puppies. Gotta go!"

What is this man's beef with endangered animals? He wants to let the tigers die off too. Sir David Atenborough will have his head on a pike...

A JOURNALIST is sniping at (other)endangered species? Tee hee.

Hee! I liked this.

Let's lock Chris Packham in the adult panda enclosure and see who represents the stronger species.

On the plus side, World Wrestling Entertainment WOULD get its proper name back.

I'm not sayin', just sayin'.

Since when do the British say 'I reckon'?

When I was 12 I started using it after John did in A Hard Day's Night

I stand corrected.

Could be two isolated incidents--

How does one go extinct with dignity? No violent thrashing?

What he said.

I'm all for saving the whales and the dolphins, but I've long secretly held this belief about the Panda. It's a slow moving lay-about that seems afraid or unable to procreate frequently and, when it does, often kills its offspring by sitting on it or letting it starve to death.
Shouldn't be directing our efforts to species that at least like to fuck?

Aww, he just needs a cute name like Ling-Ling or Hsieh-Hsieh.

Is he supportive of putting a bullet between the eyes of every Panda that wouldn't screw to save its species? Because that's SO 10 years ago.

wow! Tyler/Jack...has it really been ten YEARS?!
How's that Marla working out for ya?

What else would the Brits do with all those millions of pounds spent on conservation? Put up more surveillance cameras?

And isn't it the World Wildlife Fund with the adorable panda logo and the wresting lawsuit?

Meeg

What an asshole! I like how the pandas have no one to blame for themselves. (Never mind humans destroying their national habitat)

Meeg

natural, doh! (although I do support the panda nation)

Pandas were doing just fine, apparently, with their low libidos and inept parenting skills before we came along and started clear-cutting their bamboo. Bugger off, Packham, ya limey git!

I may have wandered down an evolutionary cul-de-sac, but I hope that I am big enough and cute enough to have people pour millions of pounds into into conserving me and my progeny. Vote Democrat.

Here's more panda video: http://www.newsy.com/videos/adapt_or_die. Thought this video summed the story up nicely. I'm all for panda conservation though and hey, they do bring in tons of visitors to the zoos.
