Wait until AFTER the election, Mike. After.

If this means we're one step closer to banning texting while walking, then I'll smoke only on a raft in the middle of the East River. with a plastic bag tied around my head.

I truly hate to admit it, but the smoking ban in bars forced me to quit smoking. Once I could see how cheap and dirty the places I hung out were, without the sexy haze of cigarette smoke to smooth things out, it kind of lost its allure.

How about city streets? Or underpasses? What about convertibles while the top is down? Or smoking while driving??? Construction sites?

    Geeeezzzz…..

I smoked my last on Halloween last year. Cigarettes smell bad, as do those smoking them. And $9.25 per pack? Still smoking at this point is like still being a Republican at this point; you do it out of spite and willful ignorance.

But also to be cool and keep our weight down.

Oh, and you'll be back. They always come back.

$9.25? Tell me where you see these PLEASE.

Ask me how much they were in Korea, just ask me!
How much were they, you ask? The equivalent of $2.50/pack.

Plus, people drive cars made by Samsung there. I shut up now.

They were only around $6 a pack when I quit 5 years ago (after 20 years of smoking three packs a day). Stay strong, Rod, against the forces of spite and willful ignorance!!

That being said, I can't get behind this "no smoking in the park" thing. It's fucking park! The smoke goes straight up in the air! I know smoking is bad, but it isn't illegal (yet), so criminalizing smoking behavior that doesn't harm anyone else is just getting to the point of smuggery-induced harrassment.

Dudes, Pussy City is so much better than No Fun City. I'm so mad at where I live right now, I could Kanye the whole fucking place down.

Can we ban smoking on my next-door-neighbor's stoop? Because that shit comes in my front window and my whole apartment smells like I've got a 2-pack-a-day habit. Which I do not. But my neighbor does.

I think Pussy Island has a more lyrical cadence to it.

As someone who just quit smoking last week, and someone who was always in favor of the smoking ban in bars and restaurant, this is a really stupid move. It isn't enforceable and people will end up getting into fights over this.

    Just keep raising the taxes.
