Dame Vera Lynn, whose "We'll Meet Again" was big on the English soundtrack to World War II, still charts: A greatest hits collection hit No. 1 yesterday, making the 92-year-old oldest holder of that distinction (previous incumbent: Bob Dylan) and seeing off a collection of reissues from popular British outfit The Beatles. MEIN FUHRER, I CAN WALK!!!
Sorry, I was biting my leather glove trying not to type it out.
Sorry, I mean "Mr. President."
NEEDS MORE ROBOT HAND.
Septicemia always wins.
Apparently someone does remember Vera Lynn!
This'll be the foundation of a great Times Styles piece about how old people are "back."
Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn
Remember how she said that
We would meet again
Some sunny day
Vera! Vera!
What has become of you
Does anybody else in here
Feel the way I do ?
