Despite the perorations of one very busty supporter, Frank-Walter Steinmeier's Social Democrats took a drubbing at the polls in Germany's parliamentary elections, receiving its worst results since the country's reunification. Chancellor Angela Merkel's Conservative party also fared poorly, but a strong showing for the Free Democrats ensures she will continue on, this time at the head of a far more conservative coalition. In other news for Merkel, publicity-hungry Irish bookmaker Paddy Power gives 3-1 odds that she will be the next world leader insulted by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. So there's that.

Now that's some "world leader cleavage," right there.
As a gay man, I fail to see the appeal of breasts however I must say in this case, this is especially true.
also my avatar and she are having a cleave-off.
PBS Anthropologists taught me that tit cleavage is just s visual cue for ass cleavage, so really we're all on the same team! Also, in my imagination, Merkel is thinking, "Suck on these, Thatcher and Albright!"
In that picture, Merkel is looking around to be sure Bush doesn't sneak up behind her and give her the ol "grab and squeeze" like he did a few years ago.
Ol' Georgie may be out of office now, but still ... you can never be too careful.
for me, it's not the boobs, it's not the face, it's the haircut that makes it creepy.
Not mentioned? FDP leader Guido Westerwelle puts the "fruit" in "rightwing fruitcake." He will most likely be Germany's first openly gay Foreign Minister.
