Republican Lies Now Almost Too Numerous To Keep Track Of

From the people who brought you "death panels"
There's some controversy about a recent "survey" sent out under the auspices of Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele which "asks" the following "question".

It has been suggested that the government could use voter registration to determine a person's political affiliation, prompting fears that GOP voters might be discriminated against for medical treatment in a Democrat-imposed health care rationing system. Does this possibility concern you?
Obviously, it's bullshit; as Politico's Glenn Thrush notes, "nowhere in the proposed bill [the RNC is using to justify this particular lie] is any reference to tapping voter registration information." But I'm more irked by the question above. I mean, is it really possible that anyone believes this?

It has been suggested that this town hall meeting is actually a crowded movie theater, and is on fire. Does this concern you?

Is this like the theory that only the republican auto dealerships were being close while the democrat dealerships got to stay in business?

See, the Bush Administration spent 8 years enforcing compliance with "movement" standards, packing the DOJ with Monica Goodlings and the like and viciously pursuing a partisan agenda against all liberals, progressives, et al.

So, naturally, they assume that the Obama Administration will do the same in return and therefore think that their worst fears will come true.

If you believe that Democrats want to "destroy America" then the current electoral environment (complete Democratic control of the House, Senate and the Executive, plus Supreme Court nominations to come) looks pretty scary to you. That why you are out there buying guns, ammo and canned food, preparing for the insurrection...

Surveys are generally junk anyway; if the questions are even a little bit loaded, most people give the answer that seems right. And obviously ("only Obama's...and no one else's") this is not what you would call "a little bit" biased.

Does it concern you that the batshit crazy wingnut media has found itself running out of advertisers due to the unprecedented levels to which it has sunk in avoiding the fact that we don't actually have a plan to discuss?

( ) No.
( ) Why would it?
( ) Fuck Socialists - there's your plan right there.
