Fortunate Black Guy Reminds Historian Of Someone

Historian and Laurence A. Tisch Professor at Harvard University Niall Ferguson, writing in the Financial Times:

President Barack Obama reminds me of Felix the Cat. One of the best-loved cartoon characters of the 1920s, Felix was not only black. He was also very, very lucky. And that pretty much sums up the 44th president of the US as he takes a well-earned summer break after just over six months in the world's biggest and toughest job.

I guess it's better than Daffy Duck?

He's saving that for Holder.

Yes, Obama certainly makes me laugh so hard my sides ache and my heart goes pitter-pat.

So *that's* the tie-in to his healthcare plan!

I'm waiting for Felix to pull some universal healthcare out of his bag of tricks.

Imagine if he had said Magilla Gorilla, Cambridge would be up in... oh, wait.

We need to stop this or else we'll enter a whole world of hurt! The possibilities are, if not endless, then near enough endless to appear in every op-ed column between now and November, 2011. "Obama reminds me of X. X was not only black. X also . . ." So, "Obama reminds me of Mr T. Mr T was not only black. He was also a famous resident of the Chicagoland area." The possibilities are staggering, poetic, and evil!

Niall Ferguson reminds me of Itchy. Or Scratchy. I can't decide.
