CBS Is Willing To Work With You On Super Bowl Ad Costs

Look for us after the GoDaddy spotWant to advertise on this year's Super Bowl but not sure if you can afford it? Why not make an offer to CBS and see if they bite? Ad Age reports that, rather than setting a fixed rate, "the network's ad-sales staff has instead told buyers it's willing to create customized ad packages around the event, then work together to determine a value." Which is good news for us: We're looking to do a 30-second spot where the cat jumps up and down on my keyboard while a scantily-clad Choire explains our editorial vision, set to the music of Pill's "Trap Goin' Ham." We're willing to pay upwards of forty dollars. Does that work for you, CBS?

Think big, Balk. You also want to tilt an empty Knob Creek bottle above your eye, so its last drop slides down your face in an amber tear as you peer into the glass.

I'm sure that's worth an additional $75 to the distillery.

i will contribute just upwards of $0.40 to the fund to get this ad on the air. it sounds that good.

What is this "Super Bowl" that you speak of?

CBS should pay The Awl for that.
