Stocks are way way up because Nouriel Roubini, the New York University economist whose pessimistic views have earned him the nickname "Dr. Jesus Fucking Christ Is That Guy A Drag To Be Around", says the recession will be over by the end of the year. He also says that we're probably gonna need another stimulus, but let's not quibble on details. We're back, baby! I'm gonna go have me a booze blowout, and not the off-brand kind.

Damn, I was just starting to enjoy the recession. At least unemployment will continue to rise!
So....Schlitz?
Great. You already drank all the Knob Creek.
This is Dr. Vagina Wall, right? Well, excuse me, Dr. Vagina Wall, but some of us - at the best of times - can only afford vagina wallpaper. The kind you make yourself with torn-up porn and scotch tape.
Recession is Over! I’m heading to Time Square for some rapey exuberance!

The foundations of print media, the auto industry, and the stability of the global climate will continue to crumble though, right? Right!? I need some stability in my life.
I hate to rain on the parade, but...Dr. JFCTGIAFDTBA clarifies things here http://www.rgemonitor.com/blog/roubini/.
The rumors of its recovery have been greatly exaggerated.
Here's another view that ought to lift your spirits:

Roubini yesterday:
“It has been widely reported today that I have stated that the recession will be over 'this year' and that I have 'improved' my economic outlook. Despite those reports - however â€" my views expressed today are no different than the views I have expressed previously. If anything my views were taken out of context.
“I have said on numerous occasions that the recession would last roughly 24 months. Therefore, we are 19 months into that recession. If, as I predicted, the recession is over by the end of the year, it will have lasted 24 months with a recovery only beginning in 2010. Simply put I am not forecasting economic growth before year’s end.
