Rep. Peter King (R-NY), last seen half-assing a fundraiser plea in front of some Wantagh watering hole, is back up on the YouTubes again. This time he's delivering a stern peroration at the news media and its coverage of "this lowlife Michael Jackson."
King, who is currently considering a Senate bid out of fear that the Democrats might actually get their act together up in Albany and redistrict him out of his congressional seat, tells the New York Post that the video "has made him the overnight spokesman for a silent majority who believe the King of Pop isn't worthy of hero worship," and that more than 60 percent of the calls to his office in response to the video have been favorable. "I'm going viral!" says Pete. Whether or not King's next dispatch will include a condemnation of Ed McMahon as "a sloppy drunk and a bankrupt" is probably dependent upon when they need to get the video equipment back to the rental place. Stay tuned!

I dunno if Pete King is right or wrong, but I wish the Wantagh American Legion Hall would stop staring at me.
The upside of this video posting includes: 1) I now know how to pronounce Wantagh the way it should sound. 2) We may very well now have a budding and new Republican candidate for President that may give Palin a run for her money. And 3) I strongly urge the town of Wantagh to spend the money to bury all telephone and electrical wiring that could interfere with aesthetic results when filming, photographing, or utilizing an American flag in a YouTube posting. And finally, every candidate for public office should be required to submit a certificate showing they have attended a film studies/studio class before they can run for office.
The way things are going in California, Michael Jackson will be the next governor.
