I am going to have to read the new Chris Hedges book, aren't I. Here is a very odd excerpt, from the book's opening! And as a total index junkie, I can tell you what: this book has a hot index. ANDREA DWORKIN FOR THE WIN.
I still don't understand why people didn't like Idiocracy. Oh.
I simply cannot believe that one half of The Rockers is still wrestling. He's gotta be mid 40s. Which reminds me, why didn't ANYONE mention Beyond the Mat during the whole "The Wrestler" Oscar run last year? That story was a ripoff of Jake the snake Roberts' life.
Well, Mickey Roarke still needs that Oscar. But I'm having a tough time picturing Marisa Tomei delivering a credible Cecil B. DeMille.
Is Louis B. Mayer in that index?
No, but Mr. Roarke is, and he needs an Oscar, too.
"And the most potent story tonight, the most potent story across North America, is one of financial ruin, desperation, and enslavement of a frightened and abused working class to a heartless, tyrannical, corporate employer."
Shakes fist in general direction of corporate tyranny.
Actually what's surprising is that the Ric Flair lasted as long as he did. Why he didn't freak out like Chris Benoit a log time ago is beyond me.
"ANDREA DWORKIN FOR THE WIN."
Choire, would you gay marry me in Provincetown?
The interview he gave on KPFK the other morning was pretty stellar. Between this, even goofball anecdote writer and Chris Anderson Hater Malcolm Gladwell and his new piece Cocksure – we are having a moment of hating on the elite that I hope will last forever…
ooops – here's the link http://uprisingradio.org/home/?p=8933
