To be fair to Perez Hilton-who wrote this (subsequently removed) post about the suicide of a Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince fan without realizing that it was based on a piece of satire-"humor" isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind when I see the byline "Andy Borowitz" either.

A kind book publicist sent me an Andy Borowitz "book" about Bernie Madoff in jail with the hiiii-larious title of "Who Moved My Soap?" I look forward to seeing an earnest reference to it on Salon or something.
Not to go on too much about a bad joke, but how could a die-hard fan be concerned about spoilers when the movie is based on the book, which presumably all fans would have read?
God, I hate Harry Potter.
My immediate reaction, too. Yay for spending too much time deconstructing Borowitz.
Harry Potter. Andy Borowitz. Perez Hilton. Crap Trifecta!
This is such obvious grade-C onion style humor. I worked for four years on a college humor magazine so I can spot it from a mile away. Just because it's not funny doesn't mean it's not obviously fake, it just means the writer sucks.
Snape kills Dumbledore. diaf.
