"This is the same week where the American people have been treated to the unseemly spectacle of conservative politicians using 'racism' as a club to beat up Judge Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic American woman nominated to the United States Supreme Court. These attacks on her, as illustrated but not limited to Senator Sessions' remarks, illustrate that her questioners have no insight into their own racial formation, and deformation, in a white-dominant American society.
I highly recommend that several of these Senators go see the Harry Potter film–and better yet, read the books where the racial prejudice by some in the wizarding community is horribly illustrated."

*excited clapping at the repeat appearance of this feature*
Strongly Agree!
Which means it'll happen one more time and then neer again!
Even strongerly agree!
And yet, I secretly (WELL OH OOPS) love it how they keep me in a constant state of ecstacy and agony with their inability to establish any sort of reliable recurring feature.
STRONGLY AGREE.
But you would've kept reading if she had recommended Dr. Seuss' The Star Bellied Sneetches , right?
It's the best almost-meme on the web.
Jumping the wand?
actually no, broom works here as well.
I would love to see/read/hear more discussion about the political and philosophical implications of the Harry Potter series. But, ideally, I'd like these issues to be discussed by people who are more intelligent and analytical than this lady.
