Unemployed Unlikely To Be Hired

Oh my God, I'm going to have a stroke: "many employers are bypassing the jobless to target those still working, reasoning that these survivors are the top performers."

You know they've been doing this for years, right? Hilarious time to start admitting it.

I think women should only date married men, reasoning that they have been proven to be more attractive.

Of course, reasoning could be that the men, knowing how insufficient they are, latched on to the first woman who would have them...

That doesn't help me much, though.

Here's a question: Why on God's green earth does a doofus like Fitzgerald talk to the WSJ about something like this??? It can't HELP his businesses. So it has to just be an egotistical need to see his name in the paper, right?

Announcing oneself as a poacher will not curry industry favor.

So, employers are still mostly retarded? You mean our current predicament, and the fact that WE KEEP FUCKING REPEATING IT EVERY FEW DECADES isn't due to the utter genius of our long-term thinking mushy monkey brains?

That's nothing. The Coast Guard's new policy of rescuing only those who are safely aboard seaworthy vessels--now, THAT's tough.

forget it i quit

That's nowhere near as bad as God's "I only help those who help themselves" policy.

This is the same reason I only capture and eat the fittest children. The fat, slow ones have clearly been bypassed for good reasons.

You are missing some 'falling off the bone" goodness when that fat cooks through.

Right. I should have said " . . . for good reasons (other than taste)." They're like Nintendo-raised veal.

This falls under the same "life is unfair" category as the following fact: Women tend to want to have sex with men who are already getting laid by other women, reasoning that these men are more desirable, and that the guys not getting any - the "underlaid," if you will" - must not be worth the time.

At least, that's what I recall from my single days.

That is to say: I felt really sorry for those "underlaid" guys. Yeah, that's what I meant.

kitten_witawip

Hippity your logic here is faulty. The underlaid tend to come off as more desperate and horny. It throws off their game as it were. I don't think it is representative of the actual skill set, rather poor interview technique.

See, this is why I always just let my thing hang out there... you know.. to make sure a night with me was in no way misrepresented.
